Informal Letter: Writing Personal Messages

Informal Letter

An informal letter is a casual message written to someone you know personally.

Informal letters are written in a friendly and conversational tone. They are usually sent to friends, family members, or close acquaintances. Unlike formal letters, they do not follow a strict structure.

Method of Writing an Informal Letter

1. Address: Write your address at the top (optional).
2. Date: Mention the date below the address.
3. Greeting: Start with "Dear [Name]", "Hi [Name]", or simply "[Name]".
4. Introduction: Begin with a warm opening or a friendly question.
5. Body: Share personal news, ask about the other person, or talk about any topic freely.
6. Conclusion: End with well-wishes, future plans, or a friendly goodbye.
7. Closing: Use "Best wishes", "Love", "Take care", etc.
8. Signature: Just your first name or nickname is enough.
